The Sunderbans comprises more than 200 islands in the Bay of Bengal. The communities that live within the mangroves are isolated from the mainland and are at the forefront of climate change. Due to the region's lack of healthcare and under-development as well as its remoteness, many children do not survive beyond their fifth birthday. Save The Children, UK hired me to show the need for remote communities in the Sunderbans for a mobile health boat. The proposed clinic-on-a-boat would navigate the tidal waterways and take healthcare to the remotest corners of the region. The photos were to be used to help raise funds for the boat at the Asian Awards in the UK.
